Data2Help - Optimizing the allocation of resources for a better and faster response to medical emergencies

Responsible organisation: National Institute of Medical Emergency (Governmental)

The objective of the Data2Help project is to provide INEM with new tools to improve its operational results by optimizing the allocation of resources, resulting in a better and faster response to medical emergencies in Portugal. The Data2Help project focuses on: (1) integrating INEM's information systems with other relevant external data (eg meteorology, epidemics, demography, forest fires, etc.), (2) through the analysis of historical data, developing predictive models for emergency vehicle requests in each geographic area, and (3) optimize the allocation of INEM resources based on predictive models in order to improve response times to medical emergencies.
